DAVE RUSSELL, a British-born Australian, scored a unanimous 12-round points decision over Dan Murphy of the United States in Melbourne yesterday to win the World Boxing Federation cruiserweight title.

KATSUYA ONIZUKA of Japan retained his World Boxing Association junior-bantamweight title when he outpointed Armando Castro of Mexico in their 12-round title fight in Tokyo yesterday.
