GEOFF BOYCOTT has failed to gain a place on the reduced Yorkshire County Cricket Club committee for this year. The former England batsman finished fourth in the West district. But Boycott gained some consolation when, along with Ray Illingworth, he was elected an honorary life member at Yorkshire's annual meeting in Leeds on Saturday.
