STAFFORDSHIRE won the Eastern Division of the Minor Counties Championship yesterday, and a place in the title play-off at Worcester on 13 September, when their only remaining rivals, Suffolk, failed to beat Buckinghamshire. Devon, who meet Staffordshire in the Holt Cup final at Lord's tomorrow, are the clear favourites to win the Western Division.
