THE African National Congress has approved India's tour to South Africa, starting next month, the first official tour to the Republic for 22 years. In view of recent unrest the tour may have been cancelled but Ali Bacher, managing director of the United Cricket Board of South Africa, said: 'I have spoken to Steve Tshwete (ANC spokesman for sport) and he told me there had been no change in ANC policy on tours to South Africa.

HUGH MORRIS, the former England opener, has signed a three-year contract with Glamorgan.
