PAUL PRICHARD'S contribution to Essex's county championship success has earned him the 1992 Britannic Assurance player of the season award. The 27-year- old batsman scored 1,210 runs, averaging 41.72, and captained the side successfully when Graham Gooch was on Test duty and Neil Foster was injured.
