EDDIE HEMMINGS, the 43-year-old former England off-spinner recently released by Nottinghamshire, has joined Sussex on a two-year contract. Hemmings, who played 16 Tests, started his career with Warwickshire before moving to Trent Bridge, where he played for 13 years and was a member of their Championship-winning sides of 1981 and 1987. He is the oldest player on the county circuit and last played for England two years ago.
