THE German athletics federation is to ask the IAAF to ban Katrin Krabbe for four years after she failed a dope test. Krabbe recently admitted using the banned substance, Clenbuterol.
OLYMPIC medical chiefs have been branded 'scientific amateurs' by a leading British doctor for treating Clenbuterol, a drug used in the treatment of asthma, as an anabolic steroid. Richard Nicholson, writing in the Bulletin of Medical Ethics, claimed there was no evidence that Clenbuterol was anabolic in man.
