IPSWICH TOWN'S FA Cup third-round tie against Plymouth Argyle has been switched to Tuesday 12 January, from the following night, because of a clash with a testimonial boxing event for Mick Stockwell, the Ipswich right-back.

MIKE FLANAGAN, the former Charlton Athletic, Crystal Palace and Queen's Park Rangers striker, has been appointed Gillingham's reserve and youth team coach.

WEST HAM have asked Northwich Victoria for their 15-goal winger, Tony Hemmings, on a fortnight's trial, but the GM Vauxhall Conference club are holding out for a permanent transfer.
