HIBERNIAN and St Johnstone have been invited to join the five breakaway clubs that comprise the proposed Scottish Super League.

MARSEILLE have signed Francois Omam-Biyik, the Cameroon striker, from their French rivals Cannes.

GHEORGHE HAGI, Real Madrid's Romanian international midfielder, has joined the newly promoted Italian club Brescia. Ancona, also newcomers to Serie A, have signed Oscar Ruggeri, a World Cup winner with Argentina in 1986, from Velez Sarsfield.
