NOTTINGHAM FOREST have been awarded a pounds 1.9m grant from the Football Trust towards the construction costs of their new 7,515-seat City Ground stand. Oldham Athletic, another Premier League club, will receive more than pounds 1m towards their new all-seater stand at Boundary Park.

PARTICK THISTLE have signed the Celtic striker Gerry Britton for a fee to be decided. Britton has been included in a 15- strong Partick squad for tonight's Premier League game against Dundee United.
