CAMEROON'S World Cup tie in Liberia on Sunday has been postponed indefinitely by Fifa because of continuing unrest in Liberia. The other two teams in the African group B qualifying round, Swaziland and Zaire, play on Sunday.

STOKE CITY'S search for a loan striker to replace Wayne Biggins, who joined Barnsley last month, has narrowed down to Blackburn's Steve Livingstone, once a pounds 450,000 buy from Coventry, and Swindon's Steve White. Stoke expect to complete a deal in time for the newcomer to play in Saturday's Potteries derby against Port Vale.

COVENTRY CITY have released Stewart Bowen, who was signed on a free transfer from West Bromwich during the summer.
