HRISTO STOICHKOV, a striker with Barcelona, was voted Bulgaria's Footballer of the Year for the fourth consecutive time yesterday.

THE Danish coach, Richard Moller Nielsen, has included only five of the team who won the 1992 European championships in the squad to play the United States in exhibition matches in Phoenix, Arizona on 30 January and Los Angeles on 3 February. Brian Laudrup of Italy's Fiorentina and Manchester United's goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel were not included.
