STEVEN RICHARDSON recovered from a bad start to lead Chip Beck, of the United States, by one shot after a rain-drenched third-round in the German Open at Stuttgart yesterday. Beck birdied the first two holes to draw level with Richardson and went two shots ahead when the British player hit a three-iron into a bush, had to take a penalty drop and ended with a double-bogey six. However, the Briton fought back with some excellent potting.
