MICHAEL DOOHAN, of Australia, will ride in Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix despite not having fully recovered from breaking his right leg seven weeks ago. Doohan's lead in the world championship has been cut back by the defending champion, Wayne Rainey of the United States. Doohan needs to win on Sunday to be champion. If Rainey wins it will go to the final race, in South Africa.
