A WORLD GT championship next year moved closer after officials from Europe, Japan and the United States met yesterday to agree common regulations to rebuild sportscar racing after the 40-year-old world series was axed last year. Races planned include: 9 May Silverstone; 19 to 20 June Le Mans 24-hour; 4 July Imola, Italy; 18 July Paul Ricard, France; 22 Aug Nurburgring, Germany; 12 Sept Brands Hatch; 26 Sept Donington Park; 10 Oct Barcelona; six races will be staged in Japan.
