FONDMETAL, the Italian team, announced yesterday they were leaving Formula One because they had no money available to start the 1993 season in March. The team's owner, Gabriele Rumi, said: 'Without a partner I must withdraw.' Fondmetal have been in the championship for two seasons but have scored no ranking points in 18 grands prix.
