STEVE PILGRIM, the Wasps and England B full-back, will be suspended from rugby union for at least one year after playing in a reserve-team game for Leeds rugby league club this week. 'If he has not taken any money (from Leeds) and does not go ahead with any rugby league ambitions, he can apply for reinstatement as an amateur rugby union player in one year,' Dudley Wood, the Rugby Football Union secretary, said yesterday.

ADRIAN DAVIES, the Wales B captain, has withdrawn from the side to face the Netherlands in 's-Hertogenbosch tomorrow with a groin injury, and has been replaced by Aled Williams, the Swansea outside-half.

CLUB MATCH: Ayr 6 Glasgow High-Kelvinside 30.
