CLIFF THORBURN, the 1980 world champion, whose career has been in the doldrums for two years, last night rediscovered his form with a 5-3 defeat of John Parrott, the No 2 seed, in the Rothmans Grand Prix. 'I feel terrific, I just hope it lasts,' Thorburn, who failed to qualify for the closing stages of all the previous ranking tournaments this season, said.
