JANSHER KHAN, the top seed and world No 1, has withdrawn from the Canadian Open championship with a knee injury and will receive a zero ranking score for his late withdrawal. Jansher injured his left leg when he slipped during of the Super Series final in Zurich last week.

ST MELLONS, the Cardiff-based team, have withdrawn from the First Division of the Pimm's Premier League because of financial problems.
