ROSS NORMAN, the former world champion, has joined Lynic Surbiton, the Pimm's Premier League club. The New Zealander, ranked No 8 in the world, was released by his former club Cannons because of new league rules for next season which allow only one player in the world's top eight per club. Cannons already have the Australian world No 2, Chris Dittmar. Surbiton have also signed the England international, John Ransome, who played for Edgbaston Priory last season.
