Sport in Short: Swimming

THE swimwear company, Speedo, will spend pounds 1m over the next four years on sponsorship. The Great Britain and England national squads will receive about pounds 250,000 between them. Domestic events, including the British grand prix circuit and national club leagues, will also be sponsored. Individual backing will be given to several leading competitors including Nick Gillingham, Ian Wilson, and Mark Foster.
