ASTRID STRAUSS, the former world champion who tested positive for steroids last March, has lost her battle to swim at the Olympic Games. Klaus Henter, the president of the German Swimming Association (DSV), has withdrawn the former East German's name from the swimming competition which begins on Sunday.
