ERIKA de LONE, of the United States, advanced to her first Women's Tennis Association final with a 7-5, 6-3 semi-final win yesterday over Tina Krizan, of Slovenia, in the Colonial Mutual Classic in Melbourne. She will face Liz Smylie, of Australia, who beat her fellow Australian Joanne Limmer 6-4, 6-7, 6-1.

In the final of the eight-man round- robin event, being held in conjunction with the women's tournament, the Australian Neil Borwick will meet compatriot Richard Fromberg. Borwick was undefeated in his group, while Fromberg had a walkover to the final when Pat Cash was unable to play yesterday because of a flare-up of tendinitis in his knee.
