Andre Agassi said yesterday that he would defend the men's singles title at Wimbledon even if he is still suffering from the tendinitis in his right wrist that forced him out of the French Open which starts tomorrow. But John McEnroe, Agassi's fellow American, has confirmed that he will not play at Wimbledon, which starts on 21 June.
