BRITAIN'S women became world champions for the second time in 28 years when they beat Germany by seven points and France by 5.90 in the world championships at Auckland, New Zealand. Andrea Holmes, of Dunstable, and Lorraine Lyon, of Liverpool, won the synchronised gold medal.
