Eight nations will take part in the inaugural World Cup of American Football, to be played from 24 June to 4 July in Palermo, Sicily. Amateur teams have been invited from the United States, Australia, Canada, Finland, Italy, Japan, Mexico and Sweden. Each nation will play three games under US college rules, leading to a championship game.
