Donovan Bailey, the Olympic 100 metres champion, has tipped Bruny Surin as the one to watch at this weekend's 100th Canadian track and field championships in Winnipeg, Manitoba. "I personally think Bruny is capable of breaking the world record," said Bailey, whose world 100m mark of 9.84sec set at the Atlanta Olympics was beaten last week by the American Maurice Greene, who clocked 9.79sec in Athens. Third in that race was Surin, with 9.97sec, who until last Wednesday had recorded the fastest time in the world this year at 9.92.
