JOHN NGUGI, whose name appeared on the starting lists for the 5,000 metres in the Villeneuve d'Ascq meeting in France today, will not run. The International Amateur Athletic Federation said he is not eligible because of a four-year ban for refusing a random drugs test, even though the Kenyan federation is appealing against it.
