JUAN GONZALEZ, the American League home run champion of 1992 and 1993, has re-signed for the Texas Rangers on a five-year, dollars 30.7m (pounds 20.65m) contract. John Olerud, the Toronto Blue Jays' first baseman, has re-signed in a three-year, dollars 17m (pounds 11.35m) deal.
