ANTHONY YOUNG, the New York Mets pitcher, equalled the major league record set by Cliff Curtis of the Boston Braves in 1911 with his 23rd consecutive loss as the Montreal Expos won 6-3 at Shea Stadium. The team's general manager, Al Harazin, resigned the same day. The Mets are 21-48, the worst record in baseball.
