Michael Geordian, of Chicago Bulls, polled 1,028,235 votes to lead the nomination for next month's NBA All Star Game at Madison Square Garden, New York, for the ninth time in his career. Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers' 19 year old guard, becomes the youngest-ever starter in an All Star game, being played on 8 February, since Magic Johnson played as a 20-year-old in 1980.
