MAGIC JOHNSON became a part- owner of the Los Angeles Lakers yesterday. He will be a vice president and work in several management areas with the club he led to five NBA titles in the 1980s. No percentage of the purchase was announced but it is believed to be less than 10 percent of the stake held by the majority owner Jerry Buss. The deal is subject to league approval, but that is expected to be a formality.
