Mexicans Julio Cesar Chavez and Miguel Angel Gonzalez fought out a controversial draw in Mexico City on Saturday to leave the World Boxing Council super- lightweight title vacant.

A world strawweight championship unification bout in Mexico City between Ricardo Lopez of Mexico and Nicaraguan Rosendo Alvarez ended in a draw on Saturday after the fight was stopped in the seventh round because of a butt.
