Birmingham's Robert McCracken has rejected a proposal to delay his European middleweight title fight against the champion, Hassine Cherifi of France, until the new year. The contest is also a final eliminator for the World Boxing Council world middleweight title, and must be staged in France by 15 December.

Ireland's Darren Corbett, 25, will face Puerto Rica's Hector Sanjurno in Connecticut tomorrow in his first fight since being forced out of his Commonwealth title defence against Rob Norton because of an ankle injury.

Charles Shepherd will make a voluntary defence of his British super-featherweight title against Matt Brown on Frank Maloney's Elephant and Castle Leisure Centre promotion on 8 November.

Francis Ampofo replaces Scotland's injured defending bantamweight champion Drew Docherty in a British and Commonwealth contest against the holder of both titles, Paul Lloyd, at Deeside Leisure Centre, Chester, on 25 October.
