ELOY ROJAS, of Venezuela, retained his World Boxing Association flyweight title by stopping Thailand's Samart Payakarun in the eighth round of their scheduled 12-round bout in Bangkok yesterday.

HUMBERTO GONZALEZ, of Mexico, retained his World Boxing Council and International Boxing Fedreation light- flyweight titles by stopping Juan Domingo Cordoba of Argentina in the seventh round in Nevada yesterday.
