THE former American world heavyweight champion, Leon Spinks, 37, who beat Muhammad Ali 15 years ago, has been banned by the Auckland Boxing Federation from fighting Jimmy Thunder, of New Zealand, in New Zealand next month for the World Boxing Federation championship. Spinks did not have a professional boxing certificate or a medical certificate and details of his recent boxing history had not been provided.
