Alvin Kallicharran, the former West Indian Test batsman, is expected to continue as Kenya's coach after next month's World Cup. Jimmy Rayani, the Kenya Cricket Association chairman, said yesterday that Kallicharran had provisionally agreed to accept an intended extension to his contract. Kallicharran's training methods have been criticised by some of Kenya's top players, notably the vice-captain, Maurice Odumbe, who was fined and threatened with suspension by the KCA for claiming Kallicharran had little coaching knowledge.
