Australia will host an international event indoors for the first time next year in a three-match series against South Africa. A special rule will be introduced to cover the possibility of the ball hitting the ceiling during the matches on 16, 18 and 20 August at the new 52,000-seat Colonial Stadium in Melbourne.

Trevor Ward, the former Kent batsman, has joined Leicestershire on a three-year contract.
