Vikram Solanki, the former England Under-19 batsman, has been awarded his county cap by Worcestershire. The 22-year-old has scored more than 600 first-class runs so far this season, including a maiden Championship century against Sussex.

Hampshire have awarded county caps to their West Indies fast bowler Nixon McLean, batsman Giles White and all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas.
