THE Sri Lankan captain, Arjuna Ranatunga, has resigned, along with five selectors, in protest at the dropping of the vice-captain, Aravinda de Silva, from the squad for the Australasia Cup one-day tournament, which starts in Sharjah on 13 April. De Silva was left out after failing a fitness test which he alleges was not carried out by qualified doctors.
