THE Sri Lankan Cricket Board yesterday cleared their Test captain Arjuna Ranatunga of misconduct charges and said he could be included in a 31-member squad preparing for Pakistan's forthcoming visit. The Board's executive committee had inquired into Ranatunga's withdrawal from a tournament in Sharjah in April in protest over a fitness test which led to the vice-captain Aravinda de Silva being dropped.
