Allan Border, the former Australian captain, hit an undefeated 151 for Queensland in their Sheffield Shield match against South Australia yesterday. Border, who retired from Test cricket in May, said: 'There's no question that when the games against England start I will be wishing I was out there. To me, Ashes cricket is what it's all about. When you start making runs you think maybe you should have played another year or so.'

India is to host a six-nation tournament in Bombay next March for players over 35. The World Masters Cup, whose chairman is Clive Lloyd, will comprise teams from Australia, England, India, Sri Lanka, West Indies and South Africa.
