ALVIN KALLICHARRAN, the 44-year-old former Warwickshire and West Indies batsman, will play for Herefordshire this season in the Minor Counties championship.

IAN BOTHAM, who announced earlier this week that he will probably retire at the end of the season, has been named in the Duchess of Norfolk's XI to play against the Australians at Arundel on 2 May.
