THE Nawab of Pataudi and Clive Lloyd, both former Test captains, will share refereeing duties when England play Australia this summer. Pataudi, who played 46 times for India, has been appointed by the International Cricket Council to oversee the three Texaco Trophy one-day games and the first two Cornhill Tests. Lloyd, who made 110 Test appearances for West Indies, will take command for the final four Tests.

THE SCARBOROUGH festival has received a pounds 100,000 sponsorship from the brewers, Tetley Bitter, who will support a four-county knock-out competition until at least 1996.
