Michael Clarke, who scored Test centuries in his first matches away and at home, won the 2005 Allan Border Medal yesterday as Australia's best cricketer of 2004.

Bangladesh became only the second team to win a five-match one-day series having been 2-0 down after an easy eight-wicket victory against Zimbabwe in the final game in Dhaka. Aftab Ahmed led the way with 81 not out as the Tigers took 33 overs to reach 202 for 2 after the visitors had been bowled out for 198.
