THE opening match between India and Sri Lanka, the hosts, in the four-nation world series limited-overs tournament was abandoned yesterday. Just 25 deliveries were bowled in the day-night international at the Premadasa stadium, Colombo, before heavy rain intervened with India on 16 for 0. The match, the first of the round-robin league also featuring Pakistan and Australia, will be replayed today.
