Luc Leblanc, the former world road race champion, has retired and is considering suing Italian team Polti for breaking his contract. The Frenchman was dropped by Polti shortly after the Tour de France doping scandal and failed to find a new team in time for this season. Leblanc pulled out of the Tour when the scandal reached its climax to protest against police raids on team hotels
