SNOW and ice forced the abandonment of the final stage, already reduced to 62 miles, of the Girvan International three-day pro-am event in Scotland yesterday. The overnight leader, Ian Gilkes, the 25-year-old amateur international from Wolverhampton, was declared the winner.
