GIANNI BUGNO, of Italy, has failed a drug test for caffeine, according to state television. A spokesman for the Italian Cycling Federation acknowledged that an Italian rider had tested positive, but would not disclose his name or the substance until he had been officially informed. Bugno, 30, allegedly tested positive for the banned substance after the Agostoni Cup on 17 August.
