MARCO SALIGARI, of Italy, won the sixth stage of the Giro d'Italia yesterday after a five-man sprint. Saligari, who escaped in the breakaway in the opening part of the 215km stage between Potenza and Caserte, has now won a stage in the last three Giros. Evgeni Berzin, of Russia, retained the overall lead.
